What Workforce Analytics/AI Can and Should Do For You
HR must formulate sound recommendations and make effective decisions related to workforce management strategy and administration. Augmenting professional expertise and judgement with research and analytical tools can extend the reach of practitioners and increase both efficiency and effectiveness of decisions and recommendations. Research can inform practitioners, yet it must be scientifically valid and relevant to the decisions being made. HR must decide what knowledge and skills its staff must possess, as well as formulating strategies for accessing specialized knowledge from outside sources. Technology is best suited for increasing the effectiveness of staff members rather than replacing them.
