The Public Sector HR Association (PSHRA) is looking for concurrent session speakers to present at the PSHRA Annual Conference, September 28-30, 2026 in Portland, Oregon.
This year's conference celebrates the association's 120th anniversary and PSHRA is specifically looking for creative sessions that include public sector HR at the forefront, focus on innovation, or what to expect in the future, new processes, how to solve current and upcoming problems using data, and new or advanced techniques.
PSHRA Annual’s concurrent sessions are learning experiences first and foremost, and as such must be noncommercial in content and delivery.
Sessions are 50 minutes in length. You may propose more than one session using additional submission forms.
We invite the following to submit a proposal:
- Public Sector HR professionals with a story to tell or expertise to share. ·
- Subject matter experts (academics, non-profit organizations that work in the space, or think tanks) who have unique insight into the challenges facing Public Sector HR.
Public Sector HR is defined as working in HR for a local (city, county, or town) government or agency, state government or agency, federal government or agency, military, special district, state university or college.
ALL SUBMISSIONS MUST INCLUDE AN ACTIVE PUBLIC SECTOR HR PROFESSIONAL TO BE CONSIDERED.
Companies / for profit entities/ vendors that serve public sector HR professionals are encouraged to connect with our sponsorship/exhibit team at sponsor@pshra.org.
When developing your proposal submission, make sure the content is informative and relevant, with clear and immediate application to the learner's work. Be sure the content is applicable to the field of public sector HR. Consider including interactive or hands-on methods to support learning within the conference session framework.
Sessions are selected with input from a volunteer program committee made up of public sector HR professionals.
This is a voluntary, unpaid opportunity. Accepted speakers are encouraged to register for the full conference, but registration is not required. In the event you are not registered for the conference, you may only attend to speak during your scheduled session block.
All proposals are due no later than March 31, 2026.
